A last minute goal sends Lazio to the top of the table. Milan and Juventus
draw away to Empoli and Roma respectivley. Inter hit four goals for the
second time in a week and Adriano is back with a bang for Parma

1 DECEMBER 2002

ROMA 2-2 JUVENTUS
Totti 12 Del Piero 47
Cassano 44 Nedved 85

Totti beat Montero to a hopeful cross, he controlled the ball on his chest
and fired into the corner. Totti's back heel took out the entire Juve defence,
as they stood appealing for offside Cassano went one on one with Buffon,
he tried to round Buffon, Buffon got a touch but it wasn't enough, 2-0.
Juve replied immediately from a corner. Cafu ran away from the near post
allowing Del Piero to score with a free header. Moronic defending.

Capello substituted Cassano for Batistuta. It proved to be a huge mistake.
Batistuta blew two great chances from exquisite Totti passes, on both occasions
his lack of pace let him down and allowed the Juve defence to recover. In
between Zebina almost gifted Juve the equaliser when he headed a cross straight
to Antonioli with Di Vaio on his shoulder, fortunately for him Antonioli made a
point blank save. A superb pass from Del Piero released Zambrotta and his
deflected cross was blasted into the net by Nedved. Birindelli and Candela were
sent off for a girly slap fight and Totti talked himself into a second yellow card.

Attendance : 75,000
Red Cards : Candela 86 (Roma), Birindelli 86 (Juventus), Totti 88 (Roma)
Assists : Lima, Camoranesi (ck)

ATALANTA 0-2 PERUGIA
						Miccoli 22
						Fusani 81

Miccoli volleyed Perugia in front from Ze Maria's dipping low cross. Fusani
blasted a shot in off the post after Atalanta failed to clear a corner. Obodo
was harshly sent off following a non foul on Carrera.

Attendance : 13,000
Assists : Ze Maria, Amoruso
Red Card : Obodo 93 (Perugia)

BOLOGNA 3-0 MODENA
Locatelli 56
Cruz 80
Amoroso 81

Signori had to leave the field early with an ankle injury. Unfortunately all of
Bologna's first half chances fell to his replacement Bellucci. His crossing is
a lot better than his finishing however and he made the first two goals.
Locatelli met his free kick with a spectacular diving header and Cruz also
scored with a header from another left wing cross. Cruz made the third
with a surging run down the left flank, Amoroso rifled the ball into the
roof of the net.

Attendance : 35,000
Assists : Bellucci (fk), Bellucci, Cruz

EMPOLI 1-1 MILAN
Rocchi 42 Shevchenko 52

A terrible mistake by Maldini handed Empoli the lead. He hit a pass straight to
Grella who dropped a 60yd cross straight to Rocchi, he held off Nesta before
finishing emphatically past Dida. Shevchenko missed an absolute sitter early in the
second half but made amends with a brilliant header from Ambrosini's cross.

I've finally figure out who Shevchenko looks like, a Dutch kickboxer named
Peter Aerts, bottom row far right :

INTER 4-0 BRESCIA
Vieri 3, 13, 57, 82

Okan's beautiful first time pass, from Crespo's back heel, released Vieri
and he raced away from the defence and shot past Sereni. Vieri headed in
Emre's corner and completed his hat-trick with another header, this time
from Di Biagio's cross. Crespo attempted a scissor kick, the ball bounced
up in the air, Vieri controlled the ball on his chest, completely miss-hit a
volley but the ball looped over Sereni.

Cuper must have lost his mind, he field 5 attacking players from the start
with Di Biagio the only defensive player in midfield!

Attendance : 55,000
Assists : Okan, Emre, Di Biagio, Crespo

PIACENZA 2-3 LAZIO
Maresca 18 Simeone 42
Caccia 27 Lopez C 45
						Corradi 91

Maresca latched onto Stam's long headed clearance and sent an outrageous 25yd
dipping volley past Peruzzi. Amazing goal. Obolo hit a long ball forward,
Stam fell as he tried to clear, Caccia took out a defender before screwing the
ball into the corner. Simeone headed in a corner. Claudio Lopez banged the
ball through a ruck of players and Corradi sent Lazio top when he headed over
Guardalben in a packed penalty area.

The conditions were terrible, the fog was incredibly thick. I'm surprised this
match wasn't called off.

Attendance : 7,000
Assists : Obolo, Lopez (ck), Stankovic,

TORINO 0-4 PARMA
						Brighi 15
						Mutu 24
						Adriano 50, 67

Parma were 0-2 up inside half an hour. Brighi scored his first goal for the club
when Torino failed to clear Nakata's cross. The outstanding Mutu, an early
candidate for player of the season, sent a 25yd free kick into the bottom
corner. Adriano, back from injury, helped himself to two more goals. He
juggled Nakata's pass off his chest then hooked a shot under a defender
and past Bucci. His second, a near post header, also came from a Nakata
cross.

It's not saying much but Nakata had by far his best game for Parma.

Torino fans rioted after the match. It's not going to help them, they're going
down.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : ? (won fk), Nakata (x2)
