SERIE A ROUND 10

Juve Thrash Torino To Go Top

Juventus destroy neighbours Torino 0-4 away in the Turin derby. Okan’s
last minute goal salvages a draw for Inter in an ill tempered match away to
Roma. Milan need two penalties to see off Parma. Di Natale scores a
hat-trick in a six goal thriller and Claudio Lopez turns from goal provider
to goalscorer as Lazio climb up to fourth.

17 NOVEMBER 2002

TORINO 0-4 JUVENTUS
						Del Piero 6
						Di Vaio 32
						Nedved 51
						Davids 88

A sensational opening goal by Del Piero though I'm not convinced he meant it.
He made a run across the box as Nedved swung in a free kick, leapt in the
air and volleyed the ball over Bucci with his left heel. Nedved latched onto a
hospital pass and played a perfect long ball to Di Vaio, 2-0. Nedved then added
his name to the score sheet. Juve broke for their own box as Torino waited for
for the ref to blow for a foul, Tacchinardi raced away with the ball before
passing to Davids, Davids passed to Di Vaio who then laid the ball off to
Nedved, Nedved skipped a tackle, burst into the box and left fly with a hard
left foot shot. Buffon saved Ferrante's charity case penalty. Nedved and
Zalayeta set up Davids for a fourth, he ran through a tackle and slammed the
ball into the bottom corner.

Attendance : 50,000
Assists : Nedved (fk), Nedved, Di Vaio, Zalayeta

ATALANTA 2-0 BRESCIA
Dabo 69
Comandini 73

Dabo gave Atalanta the lead with a grass cutter from 30yds. Bianchi flicked on a
long ball and Comandini steered the ball past Miccilo

Assist : Bianchi

COMO 1-3 LAZIO
Corrent 37 Simeone 18
						Lopez 56, 63

Lazio had already threatened Como's goal three times before taking the lead
from Simeone's header. Corrent equalised with an explosive shot from distance.
Simeone picked out Lopez with a magnificent 60yd pass, he took one touch to
pull the ball down then flicked past the advancing Brunner. Lopez added a
second with a violent first time strike. He could have had a hat-trick but for
once you could no-fault his finishing.

Attendance :
Assists : Mihajlovic (ck), Simeone, Cesar

EMPOLI 4-2 REGGINA
Di Natale 3, 40, 92 Nakamura 7 (Pen)
Rocchi 53 (Pen) Vargas 80

A super opening goal from Empoli. Busce intercepted a goal kick and rolled the
ball to Grella who hit a brilliant first time pass to Natale and he waited for the
ball to bounce before lobbing over Castelazzi. Di Michele threw himself down in
Empoli box to win a penalty. Di Natale slammed a loose ball through a ruck of
players to restore Empoli's lead. Nakamura just about converted. Empoli were
awarded a soft penalty of their own when Di Natale fell after having his shirt
tugged. Rocchi converted. Vargas made it 3-2 with an excellent back header
from Nakamura's corner. Di Natale completed his hat-trick on a counter attack.

As I predicted last week :

'Future Italy international Di Natale added a second in injury time.'

Di Natale has been called up to the Italy squad for the friendly against Turkey.
He scored one goal with his right and two with his left, yes folks he's two footed
and he's Italian!

Attendance :
Assists : Grella, Di Michele (won pen), Di Natale (won pen), Nakamura (ck),
Busce

MILAN 2-1 PARMA
Pirlo 48, 71 (Pens) E Filippini 63

Milan were awarded a penalty for a stupid handball by Barone. There were 10
players in the box as Pirlo converted. A terrible header by Kaladze sent the
ball straight to Filippini and he beat Dida with a quick turn and shot. Mutu
curled a free kick against the post. Bonera gave away another penalty when he
pulled down Ambrosini. Pirlo went to Frey's left side this time, 2-1. Frey palmed
Ambrosini's header against the post. Gilardino (twice) and Bresciano blew
chances to draw Parma level. Rivaldo missed a sitter for Milan.

Shevchenko was on the bench again. Let the bidding commence.

Attendance :
Assist : Ambrosini (won pen)

MODENA 1-0 PIACENZA
Milaneto 33 (pen)

Milaneto slammed home a penalty awarded for a 'foul' on Sculli and was denied
a second penalty goal when Guardalben made a stunning saved.

Attendance :
Assist : Sculli (won pen)

UDINESE 2-1 CHIEVO
Jorgensen 13 Bierhoff 47
Jancker 27

Old habits die hard. Chievo attempted to play offside as Muzzi ran onto Alberto's
pass, he centred and Jorgensen tapped in. Udinese scored an identical second
from D'Angelo's hospital pass. Pizzaro passed to Muzzi he centred and even
Jancker couldn't miss an open goal, well this time he didn't. Bierhoff scored
with a great left foot volley(!) early in the second half. Both teams wasted a
glut of chances. Muntari was sent off for a non foul on Pellisier.

Attendance :
Red Cards : Muntari 92
Assists : Muzzi (x2)

16 NOVEMBER 2002

ROMA 2-2 INTER
Montella 59 Morfeo 58
Batistuta 73 Okan 89

Morfeo was surrounded by Roma defenders when he received a pass with his
back to goal. He turned and from a ridiculous angle shot into the far corner.
Roma scored an immediate equaliser. Delvecchio helped on a cross and Montella
stabbed the ball into an empty net. Batistuta put Roma in front with an
outstanding volley from Guigou's deep cross. Okan scored his first ever goal for
Inter when he headed in a corner.

When the final whistle blew Roma went apeshit, Panucci argued with Morfeo
and slammed his hand into an official’s face.

Attendance : 65,000
Assists : Crespo, Guigou (x2), Emre (ck)

BOLOGNA 2-1 PERUGIA
Cruz 30 Caracciolo 45
Signori 37

Signori flicked a ball to Colucci who completely miss controlled it but it spun into
the box and Cruz pulled it down, turned inside his marker and whipped the ball
into the bottom corner. Great goal. Speaking of which Signori scored one,
a brilliant low drive from 30yds. Miccoli flicked on a Ze Maria long ball and
Caracciolo sent a perfect lob over Pagliuca. Nice to see this big man has a
decent touch.

Attendance : 15,000
Red Card : Rezai 92 (Perugia)
Assists : Colucci (x2), Miccoli
