SERIE A ROUND 9

4 NOVEMBER 2001

TORINIO 1-0 MILAN
Lucarelli 27

Asta whipped the ball into the box, the ball hit Delli Carri and Lucarelli turned
and fired past Abbiati. Abbiati made a spectacular save from a Lucarelli free
kick. Milan were awarded a last minute penalty when Fattori hauled down
Inzaghi. Inzaghi, who wasted several great chances during the match,
sent the ball high into the stands.

Assist : Delli Carri

ATALANTA 1-1 ROMA
Doni 74 (Pen) Assuncao 53

Assuncao's free kick bounced in off the post though at mid height Taibi
really should have saved. It took Aldair two attempts to foul Comandini
in the box. He should have been sent off for such sheer stupidity. Doni
converted.

Attendance : 25,000
Assists : Totti, Di Michele

BOLOGNA 3-2 FIORENTINA
Fresi 13, 18 Ganz 15
Zauli 32 Vanoli 26

Fresi scrambled in the opening goal. Ganz scored the equaliser though he
didn't know too much about it as Macellari's attempted clearance smacked
off his face into the net. Fresi restored Bologna's lead by heading Macellari's
free kick under Manninger. Vanoli chipped the ball over Pagliuca from close
range and almost lost his knees in the process as Pagliuca hurled off his
line and tried to clear. Cruz's shot cannoned off a defender and Zauli calmly
put Bologna back in front as the Fiorentina defence stood waiting for offside.
Cruz sent a penalty into outer space. Bologna also hit the post.

Mancini will make a fine coach one day - when he gets a decent side and
some money to spend.

Attendance : 25,000
Assists : Macellari, Ganz
Red Card : Benin 49 (Fiorentina)

INTER 2-0 LECCE
Kallon 36
Di Biagio 43

Two left wing crosses by Gresko, two goals. Chimenti was partly to blame
for the first. He hesitantly came off his line to punch the ball clear leaving
Kallon with an easy header. Di Biagio headed in the second from Gresko's
free kick.

Ronaldo started the first half and left the pitch after 16 minutes due to a
thigh strain.

Attendance : 60,000
Assists : Gresko (x2)

LAZIO 5-0 BRESCIA
Crespo 6, 32, 77
S Inzaghi 39
Stankovic 62

Crespo scored his first Serie A goals of the season in this morale boosting
victory for the European flops. His first a trademark back heel from
Poborsky's centre. Crespo tapped in his second after Srnicek blocked
from Inzaghi Jr. Argentina's double act of Crespo and Lopez combined
to give Inzaghi Jr his first of the season. Mero's slip allowed Stankovic to
walk in a fourth and Crespo completed his hat-trick from Inzaghi Jr's centre.
Unlike his brother he is not a selfish twat, diving twat yes but not a selfish
twat!

Assists : Poborsky, Crespo, Inzaghi
Attendance : 40,000
Red Card : Bonera 82 (Brescia)

PARMA 2-1 PERUGIA
Di Vaio 19, 91 Vryzas 68

Sartor swung the ball into the box and Di Vaio took Di Loreto with him
as he made a run to the back post, Milosevic flicked on Sartor's cross and
Di Vaio volleyed into the top corner, beautifully constructed goal. Vryzas
tapped in a rebound after he headed against a post. Deep into injury time
Micoud found Di Vaio on the left flank, he rounded Mazzantini and tapped
into an empty net.

Perugia coach Sersi Cosmi lost it at the end of the match, shouting like
a maniac (nothing new there) and then pushing over a cameraman.

Attendance : 16,000
Assist : Milosevic, Micoud
Red Card : Blasi 89 (Perugia)

PIACENZA 1-2 UDINESE
Hubner 56 (Pen) Di Michele 24
							Muzzi 59 (Pen)

Di Michele nutmegged Lamacchi with a sort of Cryuff turn and blasted
the ball into the bottom corner from about 20yds. Springsteen converted
a penalty won by diving twat Poggi. Three minutes later Udinese were
awarded a penalty of their own following Matuzalem's clumsy challenge
on Di Michele. Muzzi smashed the ball past Srnicek earning coach
Roy Hodgson a stay of execution.

Attendance : 7,000
Assists : ?, Poggi, Di Michele

VERONA 2-2 JUVENTUS
Colucci 9 Tudor 77
Camoranesi 62 Trezeguet 92

Buffon brilliantly saved Mutu's header but Colucci put away the rebound.
Camoranesi tapped in Mutu's centre. Tudor headed in Del Piero's corner.
Trezeguet's attempted flick on deflected off two defenders and Seric
waited for Ferron to catch the ball, he didn't, Ferron made a great block
to deny Trezeguet but the Frenchman lashed the rebound high into the
net. Great finish, terrible defending.

Attendance : 26,000
Assists : Mutu, Del Piero
