Kallon had the best chance of the first half but saw his blistering drive
bounce off the post. Claudio Lopez selfishly wasted all of Lazio's possession
in attack, taking wild shots from either long range or tight angles.

Fiore missed a 100% chance of the counter attack and Vieri dragged a shot
wide of the post late in the match.

As goal-less draws go this was one of the best I have ever seen. A fair result.

Doni slipped in Berretta with a great disguised pass, Lupatelli flew off his
line and blocked the ball but unfortunately for him it hit Berretta's chest and
rolled into the net. Barone hammered a shot against the post and Marrazina
tapped in the rebound. Cossato sealed a rare away win for Chievo with a well
taken goal. Mayele chipped the ball into the box, Cossato bounced it off his
chest and volleyed into the net.

Petruzzi headed into an empty net after Nervo saw his spectacular volley
crash off a post but he did score with a slightly less spectacular volley
mid way through the first half. Antonio Filippini, possibly the most
under-rated player in Serie A, found Toni with a perfect ball over the top,
Toni flicked the ball off his thigh before volleying under Pagliuca. Great
goal.

Adani headed Fiorentina into the lead from Baronio's corner. Vryzas scored
at the second attempt after Manninger had spectacularly saved his header.
Di Loreto headed in Grosso's free kick. Gross finished off Fiorentina with a
stunning free kick. A Fiorentina player got Tedesco sent off by pretending
to be elbowed.

Udinese won a early penalty when Conte flattened Di Michele. Juve target
Muzzi, predictably, had his penalty saved by Buffon. Thuram launched a
cross into the box, Del Piero and Trezeguet flicked on and Zambrotta
scrambled the ball into the net. Nedved received a pass wide on the right,
drove into the box and unleashed a phenomenal shot into the top corner.
Davids put the seal on a superb first half for the old lady after playing a
one-two with Del Piero and thrashing the ball into the roof of the net.
Juve don't bother turning up for the second half.

Totti rounded Bucci, dummied a defender and tapped into an empty
net. Great goal. The rest of the match was shite.

Bettarini headed in Andersson's corner. Di Vaio equalised with a brilliant
near post volley and put Parma in front with another clinical first time strike.
Having set-up the first two goals Bonazzoli headed Parma into what should
have been an unassailable lead against the worst attack in the league with
a powerful header. Former Parma striker Filippo Maniero got Venezia level.
First from the penalty spot at the end of the first half after being brought
down by Cannavaro and he equalised with a header from Di Franceschi's
cross. Two minutes later Di Vaio raced onto a long ball to complete a
hat-trick and steal the points.
