SERIE A ROUND 10

18 NOVEMBER 2001

VERONA 3-2 CHEIVO
Oddo 40 (Pen) Eriberto 33
Lanna 70 (og) Corini 37 (Pen)
Camoranesi 72

Eriberto opened the scoring with a stunning volley from Corini's 35yd cross.
Corini converted a penalty awarded for handball and Oddo pulled one back
from the penalty spot for a foul on Mutu. Chievo looked set to open up a
four point lead at the top of the table until the most bizarre own goal of
all time. Lanna, who was facing his goal, intercepted the ball from Verona
midfielder Camoranesi and hit a perfect low shot inside the post. Just over
a minute later Chievo's suicidal offside trap cost them a share of the points.

Assists : Corini, Mutu, Salvetti

ATALANTA 1-0 VENEZIA
Rossini 29

Rossini scored following good play between Zauri and Doni. He also
missed an open goal in the second half. Marasco and Saudati were sent
off for a girly slap fight.

Attendance : 15,000
Assist : Doni
Red Card : Marasco 83 (Venezia), Saudati 83 (Atalanta)

FIORENTINA 0-0 TORINO

Delli Cari had a spectacular scissor kick from OUTSIDE the box Van Basten
would have been proud of dissalowed for pushing. Criminal decision by
the ref. Torino had the better chances but then who can blame the
Fiorentina players for not trying?

Attendance : 13,000

JUVENTUS 3-1 PARMA
Trezeguet 9, 95 Lamouchi 23
Del Piero 75

Trezeguet scored with a typically crisp first time strike. Lamouchi equalised
with a deflected effort. Almeyda was sent off for a wild lunge on Davids.
Late in the first half Trezeguet was one on one with Frey and made the type
of miss even Cole would be ashamed of. Moronic defending by Bennarivo
gifted Juve the lead. He decided to back heel a cross, the ball fell to Del
Piero and he toe poked past by Frey. Frey made a brilliant save from
Trezeguet but the Parma defence failed to clear allowing Trezeguet a
second.

Attendance : 38,355 for £295,000
Assists : Iuliano, Maresca
Red Card : Almeyda 39 (Parma)

LECCE 1-0 BOLOGNA
Cirillo 36

Cirillo controlled a loose ball on his chest before thrashing a left foot volley
into the top corner. Chimenti made World Class saves from Zaccardo and
a Cruz penalty. That's the second penalty Cruz has missed in Serie A this
season. I don't understand how he gets into the Argentinean national
team, he useless. Repeat after me - Chimenti is better than Barthez.

Attendance : 11,991 for £90,000
Red Card : Conticchio 63

MILAN 0-0 PIACENZA

Brocchi missed from close range. Costacurta was sent off for booting Volip.
Cristante earned a second yellow for shirt pulling. Inzaghi wasted possession
in good areas. Milan failed to create any clear cut chances.

Attendance : 11,991
Red Card : Costacurta 58 (Milan), Cristante 66 (Piacenza)

PERUGIA 1-1 BRESCIA
Ze Maria 19 Toni 6

Toni scored at the second attempt after volleying agianst the post.
Ze Maria whacked in a penalty awarded for a foul on Tedesco.

Attendance : 8,000
Assist : Tedesco

UDINESE 1-4 LAZIO
Caballero 77 Crespo 54, 89
							Liverani 74
							Lopez 85

Inzaghi Jr showed why he is a far better player then his wasteful prick
of a brother with a marvellous, selfless performance. He gave the final
pass to Crespo for a dubious opener - Crespo looked offside early in
the build-up. Inzaghi's clever back heel between two defenders allowed
Liverani to score his first in a Lazio shirt. Caballero scored with a ridiculous
angled header from a corner. Lopez restored Lazio's lead on the counter
attack before setting up Crespo for the fourth.

Attendance : 14,000
Assists : Inzaghi (x2), Fiore, Lopez, Pizarro
Red Cards : Bertotto 56 (Udinese), Grago 79 (Udinese)

17 NOVEMBER 2001

ROMA 0-0 INTER

Toldo made a marvellous save from Delvecchio. Vieri headed Guly's
cross onto the bar and was denied a certain goal by an incredile stop
from Antonioli who is now back in favour ahead of the unfortunate
Pellizolli. Assunccao smashed a free kick against a post. As Roma
matches go this was pretty good.

Attendance : 70,000
